Launch and flight of JB's Boosted Triton 4 two-stage rocket (3 X D12-0's staging to 3 X C6-5's), carrying new Waverider spaceplane low-speed flight test model.
After booster stage, upper stage pitched into wind, from NW, quite strongly, and flew out over the range. Upper stage was almost back to ground when C6-5 motor Expulsion Charges acted. Twin parachutes didn't get time to deploy, and though catapult released, the glider didn't have room to pull up and fly. Upper stage and glider both retrieved intact, bit the booster stage wasn't found, and it still lying out on the range. Will maybe be found another day. For next flight in this configuration upper stage - Triton 4 - will fly on 3 X C6-3 shorter delay motors
